Nutrition and Wellness
Nutrition and the foods you include in your diet are closely linked. Diet and nutrition are not the same thing. Some foods just provide calories, but not much nutrition. For example, many processed carbohydrates and fats, such as soft drinks, white rice, and French fries, provide empty calories. Not many nutrients, but a lot of calories.
And, we've been trained to look for that one health and wellness guide that will ensure we are slim, trim, and energetic. For example, high protein diets were in favor and worked for some, but one must be careful of these fad diets, as well. Protein diets can focus on cutting out carbohydrates, maybe some of those empty calorie ones. But, high protein diets may also unnecessarily lead to higher consumption of saturated fat and cholesterol.
The best health and wellness guide to feeling your best is to eat healthy, whole foods as much as possible and yet be balanced overall in your approach. You have to eat foods that are going to satisfy you, as well. It's likely not worth taking diet supplements to help you get there. We believe there are other ways to still enjoy a balanced diet and be satiated.
However, if you are concerned that you aren't getting all the nutrients you need on a daily basis even if eating whole foods, nutrition supplements are one way to add necessary nutrients to your diet.
Nutrition & Digestive Health System
One could say that optimal digestive system nutrition includes eating a balanced diet with 25-30 grams of fiber per day. Drinking plenty of water or other liquids is also important for digestive health. And, beyond just what you eat, making sure you eat routine meals, get regular exercise, and watch stress levels can all have a positive impact towards digestive wellness.
If you have a significant digestive system problem or digestive system disorder, we'd recommend consulting your healthcare provider.
Nutrition for Adults & Nutrition for Children with Probiotics
There is evidence that we can support overall health and wellness by supplementing our diets with functional ingredients that provide health benefits beyond basic nutrition. One such ingredient is probiotics. Probiotics, natural live cultures, promote digestive health.
There are many probiotic products on the market, including probiotic drinks and some yogurts. Attune offers a new food form in which to get probiotics into your diet on a daily basis. We believe that incorporating a probiotic food into your diet is more enjoyable and a great tasting way to eat for a healthier you.
