Angela Cieplik

Customer Service Representative

Angela Cieplik is the Customer Service Representative for Attune. She moved to San Francisco from Boston, MA where she began her Customer Service career at the Gillette Company. Angela also worked for a small startup consumer products company on the Operations & Logistics Team. Since moving to California in the fall Angela has loved being able to enjoy the year round warm weather and having access to some of the most beautiful landscapes where she loves camping, hiking and biking. Angela received her BA in Communications at Northeastern University.

Angela's favorite Attune Foods products are the Almond Milk Chocolate bars and the New Morning Graham crackers with peanut butter (my new favorite snack).  For breakfast she likes the Erewhon Corn Flakes with bananas.

Annelies Zijderveld

Online Community Manager

Annelies derives joy in working toward creating community online and offline. A natural networker, she is excited to connect people with the digestive health benefits of Attune Foods products and journey with others toward achieving balance. Annelies enjoys marketing in start-ups, coming from Mighty Leaf Tea, another company that created its own niche and category. She likes surrounding herself with innovative minds, finding their vision ignites her creative spark. Annelies received her BA in Journalism at Southern Methodist University, an MA in Intercultural Studies from Union University and an MFA in Poetry from New England College.

Annelies' favorite attune foods' product of the moment is baking with Skinner's Raisin Bran or New Morning organic graham crackers. For breakfast, she's a fan of Uncle Sam Honey Almond cereal with 1/2 a sliced banana and almond milk.

Daniel Wiser

Director of Marketing

Daniel spends his time trying to come up with creative and authentic ways of spreading the word about Attune's all natural digestive health products. A consumer loving marketer, Daniel has a broad range of marketing experience ranging from large consumer packaged goods companies to startup firms. Daniel did his undergraduate work at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, and earned his MBA from Stanford University.

Daniel's favorite Attune Foods product is Erewhon Raisin Bran.

Deb Joyce

Business Development Leader

Deb Joyce, one of our Business Development Leaders for Attune Foods, joined the company in June 2008. Deb is responsible for getting Uncle Sam, Erewhon, Attune and New Morning items onto store shelves for our consumers to buy through partnerships with our broker network and distributor and retail partners. Deb keeps balance in her life by spending time on weekends with friends and family and maintaining health with outdoor activities such as running, gardening, golfing and scuba diving. Deb brings years of sales and management experience in the consumer packaged goods industry from companies such as General Mills and Welchs.  Deb received her BS from California State University, Sacramento and currently lives in the Boston area.

Deb's favorite attune chocolate probiotic bar is Dark Chocolate.

 

Jerry Javier

Accounting Assistant

Jerry helps Attune ensure that all the wheels are moving smoothly from an accounting standpoint. Originally from the Bay Area, Jerry went to San Jose State University earning a B.S. in Accountancy. Outside of work, Jerry is staying busy in the world of accounting by working towards passing the CPA exam, and is excited about the challenges that await becoming a new daddy!

Jerry's favorite Attune chocolate probiotic bar is Milk Chocolate Crisp.

Linda Lam

Operations and Accounting Assistant

Linda Lam is our newest member of attune foods as our Operations and Accounting Assistant. She brings experience and professional certification in the logistics industry from her 5 years spent at Expeditors.  At Attune, she optimizes inventory and product transport while improving processes to ensure efficient operations.  She is also assisting the Accounting team with AP. Being an avid believer in the work hard, play hard school of thought; she unwinds by going to the gym, training Wing-Chun, hiking, and loves the ocean.  Linda earned her B.S. in International Business with a minor in Finance from San Francisco State University.
 
Her favorite attune bar is Mint Chocolate Crisp and her favorite cereal is Uncle Sam Great Multi-Grains with fresh blueberries.

Mike Centron

Controller

Michael Centron has served as Controller since July 2010. Prior to joining Attune Foods, Mr. Centron served as Director of Finance at Design Within Reach, Inc. from 2007 to 2009 and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oxis International, Inc. during 2006. Mr. Centron served in various positions at Large Scale Biology Corporation from 1988 to 2005 including Vice President of Finance and Administration, Treasurer and Controller. Mr. Centron is a certified public accountant and received his B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from the Haas School of the University of California, Berkeley.

Rob Hurlbut

President and CEO

Rob Hurlbut is CEO and founder of Attune Foods, headquartered in San Francisco, California. Rob has over 20 years of experience in the food industry distinguished by his passion for innovation, value creation and team building.

In October 2006 Attune introduced the world’s first Probiotic chocolate bars - a delicious and effective way to support a healthy digestive system.  Attune expanded the product line  added two heritage brands firmly rooted in digestive health  to the company’s portfolio – Uncle Sam and Erewhon.  Today the company leads the natural digestive health category by focusing on a core belief – that what matters most is what’s inside.  Inside the box and inside your body.

Prior to launching Attune Foods, Rob was CEO of Niman Ranch, where he built the nation's leading brand of premium, natural meat. He created an innovative supply chain that allowed sustainable family farmers access to the burgeoning market for artisanal foods thereby adding value to both the consumer and producer experience. Rob's consumer branding skills and food industry expertise were honed at Nestlé where he excelled in a number of positions including purchasing, financial risk management and brand management. Rob launched his career in the financial side of the food world trading coffee futures, options and derivatives. Rob is a graduate of Harvard College and lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children.

Rob's favorite Attune Foods product in the morning is Uncle Sam cereal and in the afternoon, an attune Almond Milk Chocolate probiotic bar.

Sarika Singh

Director of Operations

Sarika keeps one foot in the world of operations and the other in marketing by helping Attune innovate with new products, managing existing product upgrades, and by finding more cost effective, sustainable, and delicious ways to do what we do. Sarika graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and, after working at Hewlett-Packard, created her own line of natural food products prior to joining Attune.

Steve Bernier

Director of Sales


Steve Bernier is a Business Development Leader at Attune Foods. His family’s food retail business taught him the essentials of connecting with his customer and community.  Taking the next leap brought him to Northeast Cooperatives distributor sales team where he shared his knowledge and skills with other retailers and them grow and develop their businesses.  When Northeast Cooperatives was purchased by UNFI, he decided to pursue a different path by experiencing the challenging world of food brokers.  Gaining all of this knowledge and experience in these roles, opened his newest passion to helping bring great tasting healthy products to the marketplace by receiving a great opportunity to join the US Mills team.  He joined the Attune Foods team through the acquisition of the US Mills brands in 2009. A graduate of Northeastern University with a BS in Criminal Justice, he also enjoys spending quality time with his boys and wife by fishing, baseball, hockey, skiing and visiting the occasional golf course.
        
Steve’s favorite Attune Foods product is Erewhon Strawberry Crisp Cereal mixed with Vanilla Non Fat yogurt.
