Company Description Attune Foods, founded in 2006, is a natural foods company dedicated to creating great tasting foods that promote daily wellness. The company was spun off from Brand New Brands, an innovation accelerator dedicated to improving and enhancing Americans’ lives through the creation of next-generation healthful foods and beverages.

Rob Hurlbut, Co-founder, CEO As CEO, Rob Hurlbut is responsible for the corporate vision, planning and overall strategy for Attune Foods. Rob is a proven leader and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of food experience including demonstrated excellence in finance, marketing and general management. Prior to launching Attune, Rob was President and CEO of Niman Ranch, Inc. where he led the growth of the company for nine years from a $3 million regional meat purveyor to a $60 million leading premium brand. Rob conceived of and constructed an innovative supply chain that allowed family farmers access to the burgeoning natural market under the umbrella of single trusted brand and built strong relationships with leading customers in the natural foods industry. Rob’s passion for food and nutrition were developed earlier in his career at Nestlé where he managed the $160 million Coffee-Mate brand and directed the purchasing of $700 million of ingredients. Prior to Nestlé, Rob grew a business at Dean Witter Reynolds, trading coffee futures and options for commodity hedge portfolios. Rob graduated with a degree in psychology from Harvard University in 1986.
Kathy Oneto, Co-founder, VP of Marketing Kathy Oneto is responsible for the overall branding strategy and positioning for Attune Foods. She is an experienced brand marketer with over ten years of marketing and general business management experience. Prior to Attune, Kathy worked with Clorox where she managed the $400 million Kingsford brand and the new product development process for the second largest business in the company. She also was instrumental in establishing the customer marketing organization where she worked with key retailers such as Wal-Mart and Safeway to sell-in significant new retail marketing programs. Before joining Clorox, she was a consultant with AT Kearney and worked in marketing strategy for a start-up technology company. She also worked in finance at Burson-Marsteller and Young & Rubicam where she reported to the CFO’s, while also doing a rotation in direct marketing and completing Y&R’s account management training program. Kathy graduated with a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and has an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
