Celiac Awareness Month Activities in May

May is Celiac awareness month. In years past, we have shared blog posts from friends including a poem about living with Celiac disease, tips for going gluten-free and staying healthy, conducted a Q&A with Celiac Disease Foundation director, Elaine Monarch and even reached out to others who are not gluten-free but have friends that are which has made them pursue understanding gluten intolerance and Celiac disease.

Our Erewhon organic cereals include nine certified gluten-free cereals. They are made in a dairy-free, peanut-free, tree nut-free, egg-free facility which makes them a favorite of families living with food allergies too. Food allergy awareness week is May 11-17, so make sure to take a look at what FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) has planned.

This year, we are taking our awareness efforts off the blog with a few activities we’re pretty excited about. Take a look for a sneak peek of what you can expect:

Building an Organic Whole Food Pantry

Getting a diagnosis of Celiac disease or gluten intolerance can be overwhelming especially when it comes to how to cook gluten-free. Join us as we hangout on Google+ chatting with Dr. Jean Layton, the Gluten-Free Doctor on how to build a pantry from scratch with organic whole foods that are gluten-free too. Learn how to stock up on gluten-free pantry staples, tips for weeknight meals without menus and bring your questions and tips. This should be one informative and interesting conversation- join us!
