Cherry Pie Shakes
17 Jul 2012
Yay! Summer is finally here and warm sunny days are shining bright. We have been busy with lots of pool and beach time. One of our favorite ways to cool down is with icy cold shakes and smoothies.
As much as we love creamy shakes we adore cherry pie. Great news! With these healthy shakes you can have your shake and your pie in one glass!
There is something so special about sweet, bright red cherries.
The sweet-tart flavor bursts in your mouth. Cherries epitomize summer fun.
My kids are obsessed with New Morning Organic Honey Grahams and the cinnamon ones too. I am happy that they love a treat that has such great ingredients in it. In my Cherry Pie Shake recipe I combine our favorite ripe summer cherries with my kids favorite graham crackers.
A win for all!
You can use any dairy or dairy free milk in these shakes. You can make them sugar free like I do with vanilla stevia drops. Or you could use pure maple syrup or some or honey would be nice too.
The crunchy graham cracker topping adds to the texture and flavor of these healthy treats.
We love all kinds of shakes and smoothies here. Any of my shake recipes would be awesome topped with our favorite graham crackers.
Have any Attune Foods cereals on hand? You could grind them up to top your cherry shakes with too!
Here are a few of our favorite cereals that would be GREAT toppings on these shakes ~ Erewhon Crispy Brown Rice Cereal, Corn Flakes or Uncle Sam cereal.
What is your favorite kind of shake?

There wasn’t an issue with putting pitted cherries in the blender?
Jul 18, 2012 @ 04:41:00
Rasha, the cherries had no pits (pitted) so not a problem at all
