Happy Holiday Trail Mix Jars
12 Dec 2011
Whether you call it GORP or trail mix, this healthy snack is a perfect holiday gift that’s fast and easy to make for anyone on your gift list from your super-health-conscious personal trainer to your son’s Boy Scout troop leader. It makes an adorable stocking stuffer, or satisfying snack for holiday guests who have long travels ahead of them.
I like packaging this mix in a clear jar so the recipient can see the layers of goodness inside. To make it more festive, tack on a holiday bow with a recipe tag so this simple snack can be made over and over again. No exact measurements are required for each ingredient since the serving size will depend on the size jar you’re using, but for a frame of reference, I used approximately 1/3-cup scoop for each ingredient.
Happy Holiday Trail Mix Jars
Trail Mix Ingredients:
- Uncle Sam Strawberry
- Salted Peanuts
- Mixed raisins
- Attune dark chocolate bars broken up into small pieces*
*Because the probiotics in the chocolate bars are temperature sensitive, it is best to keep this mix in the refrigerator for long-term storage.
