I’m Jess Perreca Jr., the face behind the blog at TooBIG.net. I’ve been TooBIG pretty much my whole life, even as a kid. Weight loss has always been a struggle for me. I have tried everything from all liquid shake diets to Weight Watchers. Recently on my latest mission, I have moved onto 5 meals a day and counting my calories using myfitnesspal. I work out 3-5 times a week alternating from strength training to cardio and the improvements in my body are really showing. My goals are simple but will take some time. My main motivation this time around is my wife Amy and daughter Shelby. I’m newly married Oct 23rd 2009 and a first time daddy Nov 17th 2010. They’re what drives me to get healthy. My goal with my blog, TooBIG.net, is to tell my story and to show my success but most importantly to be accountable. I’m 30 years old and working toward being the healthiest version of myself. And halfway through my journey to lose over 200 pounds, I’ve learned that weight loss is possible – even for me. There’s no magic cure; it just takes time, good planning and a positive attitude. It’s not easy everyday, but the effort is totally worth it. And the rewards have been incredible so far! If I had known I could enjoy healthy living so much I might have started much sooner. A 40-something Tennessee girl trapped in the land of the beautiful people (a.k.a. Southern California).
